Bethesda, MD, July 23, 2003 - SAINT Corporation, the maker of the popular SAINT™ vulnerability assessment tool, announces the release of SAINT™5.0 slated for July 24, 2003. The SAINT vulnerability assessment tool is used by network administrators and IT security personnel to find and fix security weaknesses in their networks before the weaknesses can be exploited by intruders.

SAINT™5.0 will feature a redesigned Graphical User Interface, a brand new scanning pause/stop/start feature, the option to review results while a scan is in progress, and reorganized documentation, which includes new indexing and search features.

This new release will also allow users to run SAINT™ on Mac OS X, in addition to HP/UX, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, Solaris, and Linux systems.

"Many of the new features in SAINT™5.0 are as a result of us listening to our customers and their needs," said Donna Ruginski, President of SAINT Corporation. "Customer feedback is an essential part of keeping SAINT™ fresh and up-to-date with current technology."

SAINT™5.0 will also feature the ability to sort hosts by software type. Users will be able to request e-mail notifications when scans have been completed. Also, with a click of the mouse, all instances of a single vulnerability on all targets can be excluded.
