SAINT® Vulnerability Assessment Wins 4-Star Award

PC Magazine gives SAINT version 5.0 high marks.

Bethesda, MD, December 22, 2003 – PC Magazine has given their 4-Star Award for vulnerability scanning to SAINT®5. Slated to appear in the December 30th issue, six scanners were tested to identify potential weaknesses among services such as HTTP, FTP, and SMTP on a network. Evaluations were made of each network-based scanner's ability to assess, report, and in some cases correct vulnerabilities that may create an unsafe computing environment.

"We are delighted to be recognized in the top ranks of vulnerability scanners," said Donna Ruginski, SAINT Corporation president. "This lets us know we are moving in the right direction."

"The SAINT development team strives to produce a high quality, fully featured, and easy-to-use vulnerability assessment product, and we are pleased that PC Magazine has recognized the team's accomplishments," said SAINT's chief engineer, Sam Kline.

The SAINT vulnerability assessment tool is used by network administrators and IT security personnel to find and fix security weaknesses in their networks before the weaknesses can be exploited by intruders.
